Siddhivinayak Temple Mehmedabad
About Siddhivinayak Temple Mehmedabad
In our Bharat (India), and especially in Gujarat, the Siddhivinayak Temple is considered the best example of devotion to the motherland. Here at Shri Siddhi Vinayak, a son who serves wholeheartedly to fulfill the wishes of the mother, is worshipped. Just as Mata Parvati and Lord Shiva performed the divine act, Lord Ganesha, the first worshipful one and the remover of obstacles, is revered. It is appropriate to say that serving parents is the true religion. Upon entering this temple, you experience the grand form of Lord Ganesha, the deity with an elephant head, who removes obstacles and bestows intelligence and prosperity. Just as Lord Ganesha is the first to be worshiped and the remover of obstacles by circumambulating Parvati and Shiva, it is also true that serving one's parents is the true religion. On entering this temple, you are greeted by the magnificent form of Lord Ganesha. The elephant-headed deity is revered as the remover of obstacles and the giver of wisdom and prosperity. His benevolent gaze and serene face immediately instill a sense of peace in your heart. In Hindu scriptures, the revered Lord Ganesha is remembered as the first obstacle remover in every festival and occasion. Such significance remains attached to him due to the auspiciousness of our religion. Across the country, there are countless temples of Lord Ganesha at different places, but the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple located in Devnagari Mehemdavad has a unique importance. This temple, which has become a symbol of faith in the hearts of people in a very short time, is not only the largest Ganesha-shaped temple in Gujarat, or even in the entire country, but in the entire Asia continent. This temple was awarded the certificate for the largest Ganesha-shaped temple in Asia on June 4, 2023, by the "Asia Book of Records" and the "India Book of Records". The interesting thing about this temple is that Mr. Narendrabhai Purohit, who fulfilled his mother's wish by being Shravan, is the trustee of the temple. This temple was conceived by his mother, Pujya Dahibha, which his son has fulfilled today. This temple was built after research from India and abroad. The temple gives an impression of the presence of the majestic Lord Ganesha idol outside. It is made of Ferro cement work using Australian technology. The image of the original stone is seen due to this technology. This temple was established in Mehemdavad on the banks of the Vatrak River. The temple's foundation stone was laid on March 9, 2011, Falgun Sud Chaturthi, Samvat 2067. The foundation stone is 20 feet deep in the ground. The total width of the temple is 120.98 feet, height is 71 feet, and depth is 80 feet. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony was celebrated in the presence of great saints and gurus, as if God was actually being born at that place.
