Satya Narayan Katha is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This puja is a religious ritual & is dedicated to form of Lord Vishnu. The word "Satya" means "truth" and "Narayan" is a name for Lord Vishnu, the protector of the universe. The puja is performed by installing a picture or idol of Lord Satyanarayan. It involves chanting mantras and prayers. Devotees have to listen to the story being narrated by the Panditji. This puja is beneficial. It is also performed to express gratitude to God on special occasions and at times of achievement.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee. then invoking Lord Satyanarayan is done along with the mantra and prayers by the pujari. Then the Satyanarayan puja starts by offering a prayer to Lord Ganesh to remove all the obstacles during the puja. Names of Lord Satyanarayan are chanted and things like fruits, and sweets are offered. At last, the Arti is done by the pujariji and prasad is distributed to the devotees. Blessings of Lord Satynarayn are taken by the Devotees.
