Auto Puja Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple

Auto Puja at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is a sacred ritual performed to bless a newly purchased or existing auto-rickshaw. Devotees offer prayers to Lord Narasimha Swamy seeking safety, prosperity, and protection from accidents or breakdowns. The vehicle is decorated with flowers, kumkum, turmeric and lemons under the wheels. The priest performs aarti, sprinkles holy water, chants mantras, and breaks a coconut to ward off negativity and ensure smooth and profitable journeys for the owner.

Cleaning the car is the first step in Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple's vehicle puja. It is embellished with flowers, kumkum, and turmeric. There are lemons under the wheels. The priest applies sandalwood paste and sprays holy water. For protection and prosperity, prayers are made to Lord Ganesha and Lord Narasimha Swamy. They sell coconut, camphor, and incense. Prasadam is offered, mantras are sung, and aarti is performed. Protection and prosperity are bestowed at the conclusion of the puja.
