Jaydurga Peeth - Dhaja Puja

The word "Dhaja" means flag or banner. In Hinduism, the flag is a symbol of honour, victory and power. It represents the presence and protection of the gods. Worshipping and offering the Dhaja at the Temple is counted to be very auspicious also beneficial to the devotees.

Devi is a sanskrit word that means "Goddess" it's refers to a mother Goddess. Nav means "Nine" and chandi refers to "Fire" another form of Goddess Durga. Goddess Durga represents Shakti. Navchandi path involves powerful saptashati mantras. Navchandi path includes 700 mantras divided into 13 chapters. This path expresses the victory of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasur. Performing this path with hawan is considered highly auspicious.
