The word Panchamrit Abhishek is a Sanskrit word. The Panchamrit Abhishek is a sacred ritual. Panchamrit word is combination of the two words "Panch" means five and "Amrit' which means sacred liquids. The five main ingredients are used to make Panchamrit including milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar. All five liquids are poured over the Shivling and mantras are chanted. The benefits of Panchamrut are spiritual connection, purification, blessings from deities, Family bonding, positive energy and mental focus.
At first Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking Lord Shiva is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Than things like milk, curd, honey, sugar, ghee are used to Abhishek on Lord shiva along with mantras chanted by the pujari. At last, arti is done by the pujari and blessings are taken by the devotees.
