Lord Ganesh is known as God of wisdom and good fortune. Lord Ganesh is also known as "Vighnaharta" which means he frees people from life's troubles and hurdles. Ganesh Yaag is a ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Ganesh Yaag s a ritual considered an important part of Ganesh Upasana. This yagya Vidhi involves auspicious things offering into fire and pujan vidhi of Lord Ganesh and Navagraha. In this Yaag Ganesh Atharvashirsha path is also recited. Performing this yaag could be very beneficial to devotees.
At first kalash is establish with Mango leaves and coconut in a red cloth and tie it with a red thread, leaving the top of the coconut uncovered. Then Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of Lord Ganesh is done with help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then pujari sets fire into Hawan Kund and performs hawan vidhi and things like, Durva, Modak and till offers in fire as ahuti 1000 times. Then 10 Brahmin recites Ganesh Atharvashirsha path. At last arti of Lord Ganesh is done and blessings are taken by the devotees.
