Sri Swamy Vaari Saswata Nijabhishekam Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple

About

An annual special seva known as Nijaroopa Abhishekam is performed for the main deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. In this ceremony, holy objects like milk, honey, and sandalwood water are used to wash the original idol—not the Utsava Murti. A potent spiritual environment is created during the abhishekam by the recitation of Vedic mantras. This seva is thought to offer tranquilly, protection, and Lord Lakshmi Narasimha's blessings while also purifying the soul.

The puja begins with Ganapati Puja to invoke Lord Ganesha for the successful completion of the ritual. This is followed by Punyahavachanam, a purification process using holy water and Vedic mantras. Devotees then perform Sankalpam, declaring their intention for participating in the seva. Kalasha Sthapana is done by placing sacred pots filled with holy water, which are sanctified through mantras. The highlight is the Nijabhishekam, where the Moolavar (main deity) of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha is bathed with various sacred items such as milk, curd, ghee, honey, coconut water, sandalwood paste, and rose water, all while chanting powerful Vedic hymns. After the abhishekam, the deity is adorned through Alankaram with flowers, silk garments, and ornaments. Naivedyam (food offerings) are then presented to the Lord, followed by Maha Harathi and prasadam distribution, completing this deeply sacred and spiritually uplifting ritual.
