Shodshopachar is a sanskrit word combination of two words Shod means sixteen and upchar means offering. while performing this puja a pujari ji chants sixteen vedic mantras and offers sixteen things to Lord Ganesh.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of devotee. Than invoking of Lord Ganesha is done with help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then pujari ji chants sixteen mantras and offers sixteen things tow Lord Ganesh. At last arti is done and blessings are taken by the devotees.
