Aswaklanta Temple Guwahati

Aswaklanta Temple is a popular tourist place located in Guwahati, Assam. Beside the temple, the Brahmaputra flows. Lord Vishnu is worshipped in this temple. It is said that when Lord Krishna was searching for Narakasur, his hours were tired, and he stopped at this spot to give them rest. For that reason, the temple is known as Aswaklanta Temple, which means tired horses. The temple was built by Ahom King Shiva Singha in 1720.
