The Baneshwar ShivJi Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the city of Maheshwar, near the holy Rewa River, in Madhya Pradesh. During the holy months of Shravan, Karthik, Margashirsha and Kumbha, millions of devotees go from far-off areas to Maheshwar, one of the most significant kshetras on the Narmada Parikrama, to receive darshan of Narmada Devi and Lord Shiva. Baneshwar Fair is a popular tribal festival celebrated at this temple. The best time to visit this temple is between August and February.
