About Dharmasthala Temple

The Dharmasthala Temple is located in the city of Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is worshipped here as Mañjunatha and Hindu goddess Ammanavaru, the Tirthankara Chandraprabha and the protective gods of Jainism. The temple is believed to be more than 800 years old. The temple is considered to be very unique as the preits of the temple are Madhwa Brahmins, who are Vaishnava ans the administration of the temple is run by Pergades a Jain Bunt family.
