The temple is dedicated and situated in the city of Haleibidu, Karnataka, India. The Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva was built by King Vishnuvardhana of the Hoysala Empire. The construction of the temple started in around 1121 CE and was completed in the year 1160 CE.
