The Mahamaya Temple is located in the city of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga's avatar, Goddess Mahamaya. The temple is more than 1400 years old. It was built by Maratha Ruler Mordhwaj between 17th and 18th century. The temple is one of the oldest and richest temple in the city. During sunset, Sun rays touches the feet of Maa Mahamaya and during sunrise, rays touches feet of Maa Samaleswari.
