Nainativu Nagapooshani amman temple is located in island of Nainativu, Sri Lanka. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati who is known ad Nagpoosani Amman latterly means The Goddess who wears snakes as jewellery. Lord Shiva consort of Goddess Parvati is known as Nayinaar. It is believed that the temple seems to have been mentioned in the Brahmand puran. The temple attracts around 1000 visitors a day. On the annual festival celebrated during the Tamil month of Aani attreact over 1 Lakh devotees.
