About Rankini Temple
The Rankini Temple is located in the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is believed that people in acient times used to travel through the dense forest to worship Goddess Rankini Devi for heir protection and well being. The legend of Maa Rankini temple tells that the Goddess Rankini still lives in a stone and watches over her devotees. The temple was built between 1947 to 1950, where the Goddess is now worshipped. Before that, she dwelled in a stone in the Kapadgadi valley, near the drain that flows under the main temple. She was hidden in a bond, in her stone form.
