Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple was established in the 16th century 1982 A.D. by the famous poet Tulsidas. It is located in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh, India. The meaning of Sankat Mochan means the one who removes troubles and sorrows, as it is a powerful spiritual place. Every Tuesday and Saturday people gather for prayers to lord hanuman. According to Vedic astrology, people who have Saturn at the wrong place in their horoscope specially visit this temple for astrological remedies. As some astrologers believe that worshipping lord hanuman can protect us from the bad effects of Mars and Saturn. Every year in the month of April sankat mochan music festival is organized for the last 88 years, it is called the sangeet samaroh and dance ceremony.
