Savitri Temple Pushkar

The Savitri Temple is located on Ratnagiri Hill in the city of Pushkar, Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to Mata Savitri, who is the first wife of Lord Brahma. In this temple, there are two idols of both the wives of Lord Brahma named Savitri and Gayatri. But as per tradition, Goddess Savitri is always worshipped first and then prayer is offered to Goddess Gayatri. Mata Gayatri is known as the second wife of Lord Brahma. According to the legend, Lord Brahma performed a Yagna at Pushkar, where his wife Saraswati could not reach on time.
