Mahalakshmi Temple is one of the most famous temples in Mumbai. The temple is managed by Shree Mahalakshmi Temple Charities. Mahalaxmi temple consists of idols of three deities of Mahalakshmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. Mahalaxmi is the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam. Hundreds of devotees visit the Mahalaxmi temple every day. While, on the festival of Navratri, Diwali, and in the month of Margashirsha thousands of devotees comes to visit Mahalaxmi temple as they believe Mahalakshmi Mata gets alive or Jagrut during this time.
