The Sree Bolla Raksha Kali Temple is located in the city of Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. There is a legend associated with the temple that the locals believe in. According to the legend, a Zamindar who owned the land around the temple was captured and imprisoned by the British for failing to pay his taxes. The Zamindar was a devotee of Maa Kali and he prayed to her for his release. Maa Kali heard his prayers and miraculously freed him from the jail. It was a Friday after the full moon of Rash month. The Zamindar was so grateful to Maa Kali that he built a temple in her honor and named it Bolla Kali temple. He also started worshiping her regularly at the temple.
