The Vishvanatha Temple is situated in Madhya Pradesh and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is part of the western group of Khajuraho Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered one of the town's three major temples. A dedicatory inscription on the porch of the Vishvanatha temple claims that Dhanga, the king of the Chandelas, built a Shiva temple. The Khajuraho Dance Festival is an important festival for this temple. The best time to visit this temple is from November to February.
