Chandi is another name of Goddess Durga. Sat Means"Truth" Chandi Means “Goddess Chandi or Chandrika”. Sat Chandi Hawan in Gadhkalika Mata Temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi the Shat chandi path is a ritual that involves reciting of Durga Saptashati path 100 times. This chandi path contains 700 shloks and It is believed that the chandi path verses are from Markandey puran. Surga Saptashati's path is considered one of the most powerful hawan to remove problems.
At first Kalash is established on pot with help of coconut and mango leaf's. Then sanklp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Goddess Durga is with help of mantra and prayers by the pujari. Then 35 Brahmins recites Durga Saptashtipath 1000 times and then Pujariji sets fire in to hawan kund and perform the Hawan vidhi. At last Arti of Goddess Chandi is done and blessings are taken by the devotees.
