About
The Chandi path in Maya Devi is also called the Durga Saptasati. It comprises the 13 chapters of the Markandeya Purana. It describes the story of good and evil and how Goddess Durga destroys the Demon Mahishasura. The chandi path is one of the most ancient and complete systems of mantra worship of the divine mother goddess in the Hindu tradition.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee. Then invoking Maa Durga is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then, the pujri does the Durgasaptshi Path. At last, arti is done of the Goddess and the puja is completed.
