Mukti Dham - Laghu Rudrabhishek
About
Laghu Rudra Abhishek is a ritual done for worshipping Lord Shiva while chanting mantras. The puja involves the chanting of the Rudra Sukta, a powerful hymn that praises the many aspects of Shiva. This ritual is often performed to appease the deity and to seek his blessings for prosperity and peace. In this ritual, Panchamrut (milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar) is offered to Shiva. In this puja, Rudra Sukta Mantras are chanted.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. During the process of bathing Shiva Linga, the priests chant mantras. These mantras are Rudra Suktha. After the process of giving a bath to the Shiva Linga, the priest purifies it with a mixture of curd, honey, cow's milk, sugarcane, rice, and other items. Then Panchamrut Abhishek is done with the Shivling after the completion of it aarti is done and Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is started. At last, aarti is done by the Shivling then Maha Mitrunjay Jaap is started. After the completion of Havan, the 11 Brahmins are offered Bhojan and Dakshina.
