About
The word 'Navgrah' is derived from Sanskrit. Navgrah word is a combination of two word "Nav" means nine and "Grah" means planate. The Navgrahs namely Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, Ketu. Placement of Navgrah in a person's Kundali determines their effects. If the Grah well placed that means is will gives positive effects. The Navgrah puja is conducted to seek blessings from all the nine planets. It is believed that Navgrah Puja is performed to remove misfortune and eliminate all the negative effects of the nine planets.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Lord Ganesh is done with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari to remove the obstacles caused in the puja and later Pujariji invokes all the Navgrah with help of mantra and prayers. Than puja is done following all the rituals by the pujari ji. At last, the devotees get the blessings and the puja is completed.
