It is believed that the Samudra Manthan was done during the Shravan month and Lord Shiva had drunk Halahal Vish. Performing Panchamrit Abhishek puja on Shravan Mas Monday is considered highly auspicious and spiritually rewarding. In Sharawan Maas, all of Monday's Panchamrit abhisheks puja priest will take the Sankalp in the name of the devotee. Then the invoking of Lord Shiv is with the prayers and mantras by the pujari. Panchamrit Abhishek will be performed on the Shivling every Monday of Shravan Maas using holy materials like water, milk, honey, ghee, sugar and Bilva Patra. After the completion of Shravan Maas, blessed Prasad will be sent to devotees at their residential address.
