Mukti Dham - Nakshatra Shanti Puja
About
Vedic astrology has a set of twenty-seven Nakshatras. These Nakshatras are known as Janm Nakshatra or birth stars. The Vedic birth-star list starts with Ashwini star and ends with Revati as the 27th star. Nakshatra Shanti puja is performed to get protection from the negative effects of Mahadasha and seek blessings from the Nakshatra Devatas.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. First, the Kalash is established with the help of coconut and water. Then, invoking Lord Ganesh is done with the help of mantras and Jaap by the pujariji. Then, offerings such as flowers, fruits, grains, etc., are made by the pujari following all the Vedic rituals. Then, Hawan is performed. Finally, the puja is completed with the offering of aarti and receiving blessings.
