Prachi Tirth - Nagbali puja
About
Narayan Nagbali consists of two different rituals. Narayan Bali in Prachi is done to get rid of an ancestral curse (Pitru dosh /Pitru Shaap) while Nag bali is done to get rid of sin committed by the killing of a snake, especially a Cobra which is worshipped in India.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of gods like Narayan (Vishnu), Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva etc. with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then offering of things like rice balls, kumkum, gulaal etc. is done by the pujari with the help of mantras and following proper Vedic rituals. At last, blessings are taken and the puja is completed.
