The Bilva leaf and fruits are used to treat various diseases symbolizes the healing property of nature. It is beleived that the Bilva tree originated from the sweat of Goddess Parvati. Doing puja of Lord Shiva with Bilva patra is the best way to seek blessing from Lord Shiva.

The 9 kanya and Bhairav Bhojan is a very revered puja dedicated to Goddess Durga. The nine girls are Worshipped as the manifestation of the nine forms of the Goddess Durga, each representing different aspects of the divine feminine power, feeding them is considered equivalent to worshipping the goddess herself. Lord Bhairva is one of the embodiments of Lord Shiva, who is regarded as the protector of Goddess Durga.
