Lingaraj - Maharudrabhishek Puja

Gangajal Abhishek Puja is a Hindu ritual where the offering of water is done with other items on the lingam. The puja is mostly performed in the temples. Panchamrita Abhishek is a Hindu ritual puja where five liquids are poured over the deities and mantras are chanted. These all are mixed. Mantras are chanted throughout the process and once the puja is completed, the Panchamrut is distributed as prasad. Doing this in Lingaraj is auspicious.
