Gangajal is referred to be sacred water in Hinduism and it is used in many religious ceremonies and rituals. Gangajal Abhishek is a sacred Hindu ritual in which water from the holy River Ganga is used to bathe the Shiva Lingam at Lingaraj.
Pushp Abhishek is a religious ritual that involves offering flowers to a Shivling as a form of worship. The act of offering flowers symbolizes devotion, love and purity.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then offering of Gangajal is done on the shivling along with chanting of mantras and following proper Vedic rituals. Then offering of Pusp (flowers) will be done with mantras by the pujari. At last, aarti is done by the pujari and the blessings are taken by the devotees.
