Panchamukhi puja is a revered ritual in which worship of Lord Shiva in his Panchmukhi(five-faced) form. The representation of lord shiva with five faces Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha and Ishana represent the five elements of creation(fire, air, space, earth and water).
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee by Pujari Ji. Then worshipping Lord Ganesha is done to remove obstacles by offering flowers and incense by chanting Ganesh mantras. Then Abhishek (bathing ritual) is done invoking the Panchamukhi Shiva idol by offering water, milk, honey and other items while chanting mantras by pujari ji. At last, arti is done and prasad is offered to devotees.
