Panchamrit Abhishek In Tuljapur

The word Panchamrit ahishek is a Sanskrit word. The word Panchamrit is a combination of the words Pancha means five and Amrita which means nectar. Abhishek is a ritual where feet of the idol of the Goddess is bathed with auspicious things. The five main ingredients used to make Panchamrit are milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar.

At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Devi Tulja Bhavani is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then abhishek on Goddess feet is done with helps of things like Curd, banana, honey and sugar along with mantras chanted by the pujari. At last Arti is of Goddess Tulja Bhawani is done by the pujari and blessings are taken by the devotees.
