Mahalaxmi Mandir, also known as Ambabai Temple, is dedicated to Lakshmi. It is thought that completing pilgrimages to these temples benefits achieving moksha. Karnadeva constructed the Mahalakshmi temple during the Chalukyan dynasty in 634 CE. The murti of the crowned goddess is made of gemstones and weighs about 40 kilogrammes. The three-foot-tall black stone image of Mahalakshmi. Kirnotsav, Rathotsav, Lakshmi Puja, Lalita Panchami, Navratri and Diwali are important festivals celebrated at this temple. The best time to visit this temple is from October to February.
