Abhishek Puja

Performing puja at Shakti peeth is very beneficial to devotees. Milk is the primary ingredient of this puja. Dudh abhishek is a ritual where milk is offers to Goddess. In this ritual Goddess idol is bathed with the help of milk. During this puja mantras are chanted by the pujari. 

Saptashrungi temple is dedicated to the Goddess saptashrungi. This temple is known as one of the "Three and half Shakti Peeth of Maharashtra. It is believed that Goddess idol is swaymabhu. The word abhishek is sanskrit word, Abhishek means sprinkling. Doing abhishek puja is very sacred. During this ritual things like Milk, Turmeric, Honey, Flower, Saree, Jewelry etc. are offered to the Goddess. This ritual is performed to show devotion, seek blessings, and express reverence towards the Goddess.    

"Ganpati Sukt" is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, who is the remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings.  The word "Sukt" originated from sanskrit word. Sukt refers to a collection of mantras. The chanting of the Ganesh Sukt along with the abhishek is believed to please the Lord Ganesh and invoke blessings in the life of the devotees.

Mangala Abhishek is a sacred ritual that is performed to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, especially during auspicious occasions or to overcome obstacles. The term "Mangala" signifies auspiciousness and "Abhishek" refers to the ceremonial bathing of the deity.

Abhishek is a ritual that involves bathing the deity with sacred items mentioned in the Vedas. Lord Ganesh is known as the one who removes hurdles and problems affecting the life of the devotees. 

Lord Ganesh is son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiv. Before starting anything new devotees always worship him as it is considered that he is the God of wisdom and prosperity. Lord Ganesh is also called as Siddhivinayak. Lord Ganesh also known as God of remover of obstacles.    

Dakshinamurti is a form of Lord Shiva known as the supreme teacher who represents ultimate awareness, knowledge, and understanding. The word 'Dakshinamurti' refers to 'one who faces south'. Lord Dakshinamurti is worshipped as the god of meditation and wisdom. He is also considered a teacher of arts and knowledge, explaining the scriptures. Yellow is Dakshinamurti's favourite colour. The image of Dakshinamurti has the power to eliminate negative influences.

Dudh Abhishek is a way of worshipping the Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. Dudh Abhishek is the holy bath of Shivlinga which is done with the offering of milk. It is believed that Dudh Abhishek on Lord Shiva increases the effectiveness of the puja. The priest chants mantras during this puja. Offering milk to Lord Shiva during the ritual is a way of accepting and receiving his divine grace and blessings.
