Worshipping Prithvi Mata is considered to be a very auspicious and beneficial to the devotees. In Vedic sculptures Prithvi Mata has been described as the wife of Lord Vishnu and she takes care of all the living beings on the earth. It is said that puja of Prithvi Mata has lots of benefits.
At first sankalp is made in the name of the devotee and than Prithvi pujan mantras are chanted along with Dhyan mantras and Stuti mantra. Than Dasha shanti mantras are chanted and Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahesh (Shiva) are worshipped with mantras and their blessings are taken.
