The word kumkumarchana is combination of two words "Kumkum" is a red powder and "Archana" means offering. In this ritual devotees worship Goddess by applying kumkum to their idols. Worshipping Goddess with kumkum is very beneficial to devotees and it's an easy way to connect with the Goddess. At first sanklp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Goddess is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then devotees offers Kumkum, Flowers and Termeric to Goddess. At last, arti is done by the pujari and blessings are taken by the devotees.
