Special Ram Navmi Puja - ISKCON Nellore

Ram Navami marks the divine appearance of Lord Sri Ramachandra, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, who descended to establish dharma and vanquish evil. Ram Navami Puja begins with achamanam (purification) and a heartfelt sankalpam (spiritual vow) to worship Lord Rama, the embodiment of truth and dharma. The puja starts by lighting a ghee lamp and offering incense, followed by Kalash Sthapana.Devotees offer akshat (rice), chandan (sandal paste), roli, flowers, and tulsi leaves while chanting Rama Nama or Sri Rama Raksha Stotra. A panchamrit abhishekam (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar) is done for the deity or photo, followed by dressing in new vastras and ornaments. Offerings of naivedyam (fruits, jaggery, panakam, sweets) are made.Bhajans and recitations from Ramayana are sung, leading to a midday aarti, symbolizing Rama’s birth.
